   My name is Jia-Fong Chen and my homeland is Hsinchu. This year, I got in NCTU and NTHU in graduate school’s entrance exam and I finally made choice of NCTU. Before I was graduated form National Taiwan Ocean University in Keelong and National Hsinchu Senior High School. I could come back to Hsinchu from Keelong, so my parents and I felt very happy.

   An optimist by nature, I always look on the bright side of things. As a result of my humorous and good-tempered, I make friends easily. In the past I was a harmonica club’s principal and learned how to get along with people. I showed on TV news when our harmonica club performed outside of The Keelong City Cultural Bureau. That was a very special experience. Aside from I worked in a restaurant and The Taiwan Pelican Express in my college’s time. I felt to do these things very hard, but would make many friends outside school. Their thoughts were very different and let me feel strange and funny.

I felt that my college life was very good and rich, but my professional ability was very poor. I hope that my professional ability can become good in the future. Although I don’t know that I may face what kinds of the problems in NCTU ’s two years. Besides, I have thought that my English wasn’t good for the past senior high school’s time. So I also hope that my English can be improved in the future two years. That is reason why to join the NTHU’ s composition and communication in English Workshop. I know that the learned process for me is very difficult. I believe that English’s challenge let me learn a lot of things. Although reading, writing and speaking in my English are very poor.

In fact, I am afraid of joining this club in my deep heart, because I have never spoken English in public in the past. Besides, some people have ever told me that my English pronounced incorrectly. I am afraid of being laughed at my English. Anyway, Just do it!! That’s right!!
